Japan Book Reading Update

Please help us provide copies of The Legend of Ninja Cowboy Bear to children affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

Kids Can Press UPDATE
Our publisher (Kids Can Press) has generously donated 120 copies of The Legend of Ninja Cowboy Bear to be given to the children at these events.  Thanks to everyone who donated for their generosity and support.

The Canadian Embassy in Japan has scheduled book readings at elementary schools in the Sendai region of Japan on July 15, 2011.  They have chosen to read The Legend of Ninja Cowboy Bear to the children.

  1. Shiogama Catholic Kindergarten
  2. Sakuragi Hanazono Kindergarten
  3. Elementary school in Tagajyo City

Of particular interest to our Canadian friends is the Shiogama Catholic Kindergarten.  This is the kindergarten where Father André Lachapelle, the only Canadian victim who was killed by tsunami, was teaching English to children.

In total there will be roughly 150 students that will have the book read to them in English and Japanese, and be lead through a number of games by the staff from the Canadian Embassy.

We will do our best to post pictures of these events afterwards.

Here are some photos from the last Ninja Cowboy Bear reading at the Canadian Embassy Library (December 2010).
